Most often it refers to periodontitis or the chronic infection of the tooth holding apparatus developed from a mild gum infection. Periodontitis damages the jaw surrounding the teeth. If the illness remains undiagnosed in the early stage and enough attention is not paid, the result is the complication of periodontitis and finally the loss of teeth affected by the illness. There is no point in looking for the main causes of periodontitis at first in nutrition or suspect serious general illnesses with which this illness comes with. Mostly it is to do with problems starting from insufficient oral hygiene and wrong hygiene techniques.
